Introduction

The purpose of this GDPR privacy policy is to inform you about how we, the Federation of Scandinavian Paint and Varnish Technologists (here after referred to as "SLF"), process your personal data. It applies to the personal information we collect about you in connection with your membership. The SLF works to ensure your privacy. The policy is updated as needed and the latest version is always available on our homepage (slfpaint.org).

The SLF is responsible, in accordance with the GDPR (EU) 2016/679, for the personal data you have provided to the SLF. All information that you submit is only for use by the SLF.

The SLF collects and saves the personal information you provided when registering your membership with your national SLF association. This information is, for example, full name, postage address and e-mail address. This information is used to sending invoices and information about coming activities, for example the SLF congress, to SLF members.

Data storage

The SLF stores your information for as long as the information is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which the information was collected. The information can also be saved for the time required by applicable law. The SLF has ongoing routines that ensure that we do not store unnecessary information about you. Data is password protected and only accessible for people within the SLF administration.

We store your information for as long as you choose to be a member of the one of the SLF national associations. If you choose to terminate your membership, your personal information will be deleted by the SLF national association at which you were a member, and thereby also for the SLF.

Your rights

The SLF strives to be open about how we process your information. If you want to gain insight into the personal data processing that we do in relation to you, you have the right to request access to your data. If the SLF receives a request for access, we may ask for additional information to ensure that we disclose the information to the right person. You also have the right to request that your personal information be changed or corrected.

If you believe that your personal data is being processed in violation of GDPR, you also have the right to request that your personal data be deleted or restricted. You also have the right to object to our usage and processing of your personal data or to request that the information you have provided to us be transferred to another personal data administrator (so-called data porting).

Your personal data may not be used for marketing purposes if you object to such usage. You also have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. In that case, we will not use your information for purposes based on your consent.

If you believe that the SLF handles your personal data incorrectly, you also have the right to submit your complaint to the Data Inspection authorities in your country. We do not transfer data outside the EU or European Economic Area (EEA).
